Rosie Tuff

Tuff employs drawing as a means of recording discrete motifs and spatial structures that are embedded within her immediate environment. In her evolving personal pictorial language, these motifs structure a painterly choreography in which forms continuously change as they interact with one another. As figuration emerges and disappears, although forms appear to be ambiguous they are often hinting at an isolated observation or a personal reality. Through engaging with the physicality of paint itself, Tuff encourages the poetic transformation of form. She employs processes that encourage a disruption in her depiction of an observation.
